those filters look like they are paper based and cheap and the lack of heat shields are telling me its not something a vendor would usually sell the only SRI i have seen are the K&N Typhoon and those have a heat shield and quality filters if you bought the car like that, either the previous owner did a DIY SRI or he bought one off ebay for $100 EDIT where does the MAF plug into? if there isnt a place to plug the MAF sensor into, its definitely ebay or DIY(more ebay though) |

no problem, if i were you, i would try to modify that intake to a CAI(assuming there is a place to plug the MAF into), the piping doesnt look cheap, its just the filters and the setup, if you were to find a way to either divert cold air or extend the tubes so the filters sit outside the car, you will probably have a great DIY CAI that will probably make more power than stock(with your current setup, you are losing power cause your intake is sucking in hot air)
anyhow best of luck, also if you plan on keeping the intakes, please swap to a K&N pod filter, at least that one is a quality pod that will last longer than those pods on there |
