Default excited to worse

So I was installing my Cnt TP and everything was going smoothly till I got to the cats. I got the lower bolts off. But the hard part just started. I started on the passenger cat. As I try to break the bolt I stripped the head of the bold. So now I have to tap the bolt out and might as well pay to install... What a day

They do make sockets for stripped bolts. Maybe try that first.

That's the demon bolt. You need to use an impact wrench socket.

Like SPONE Said

AutoZone has them, heat the bolt up if you have a propane torch. It helps to get them broken loose.

Wink

If you use an impact gun on the bolts. MAKE sure you remove the O2 sensors before using the rattle gun. If you don't. There is a good chance that one of the sensors will go bad from the vibrations.

Also use some of seafoam's version of wd40, let it soak for an hour or two, then heat it and go at it with the tap/die kit and a breaker bar.

When we were installing my Turbo kit Sasha (BP Performance, look it up haha) broke clean off one of those bolts. A few heat cycles and they seize pretty good.
