Uhhhh...... I'm not exactly sure since I went with the Meisterschaft full cat-back exhaust & there was a night & day difference in sound. If one only replaces the Y-Pipe, then there might be an increase in sound, but how much difference I'm not exactly sure.

You will gain some hp and sound, but not as much as a CBE, and enough to be noticeable

I have AAM shorts and KN Typhoons, was going to do Uprev but a friend suggested the Y pipe before I do Uprev. Just wondering if its worth messing with.

I did before after dynos of a ypipe and got 8hp. This was with a slight tweak of the uprev tune (it was uprev tuned before install, and only slight change afterwards). Maybe 6hp without retune.

Ebay Y pipe reviewed and dyno'd

Yea, but don't look at just the peak gains. Look at how much power you gained in the midrange. Thats awesome.

I recently installed the motordyne y-pipe w/straight pipe attachment.

I currently had tanabe catback,m370 manifold and hps tubes with afe dry flow filters...with the ypipe added on last,I definitely notice a sound difference. car now sounds like a pissed off g35,quite the exotic tone.I do not have a dyno chart unfortunatley, but I'm sure it made some gains,as the stock ypipe is just so wimpy looking and restrictive. but as for sound, the motordyne pipe is shapped differently from other ypipes,so I believe this is why the sound changed more than I expected
