Default Silicone Breather Hose

Hello,

I got a great deal on a K&N Typhoon intake (I know that intake is frowned upon, but it's just for sound and entertainment value). It won't be coming with the pcv breather hoses, and I cannot for the life of me find the right hoses to fit. The Z1 website mentions their hoses do not fit the Typhoon intake, and I cannot find any threads regarding compatible hoses.

All I found were threads about the fact the hoses included with the Typhoon intake don't fit, and tricks to make them fit (put the hose in boiling water, etc..). Can I reuse the stock hoses, or does anyone know of a product that will accommodate this intake. I'd prefer not to go the pcv delete route as there's too much controversy.

Thanks in advance

you can reuse the stock hoses or use universal hoses from the autoparts store.

I'm currently using universal hoses from autozone since my intake barb is in a different location that I can't use the z1 or stock hoses.

Thank you for the response my friend, that's good to hear. Do you have the same intake? From what I read in a few threads, the sizes are different on the Typhoon intake, and the stock hoses are too small. People were complaining that it took literally hours just to get the hoses attached. I'm curious as to why they wouldn't have just reused the stock hoses if they fit well. I'd prefer to avoid this hassle if at all possible.

I've attached a couple screenshots below to see if those are the parts store hoses you're referring to. I'm wondering if I can get the right size, so I don't need to modify anything. I'll attach a couple photos of the actual used intakes I purchased. Please let me know if you see anything important missing whenever you have a moment.

I know it's a lot of questions for such a simple issue, but I'm sure something else will inevitably come up that consumes extra time as well. Again, thank you for taking the time to respond.

I use to have those. I had some autozone hoses hooked up to it.

Do you know which hoses you got, or what size?

I used OE hoses without issue, actually had to cut them to fit.

Check out your intake temps. pre and post Typhoon intake and then take into account the ECU begins pulling timing (power) when said temps. get to 85-95*. You will see WAY higher than that with Typhoons.

I'm still using the Typhoon tubes but "built" my own CAI from the ends into the bumper cover.
