Ark Grip exhaust, test pipes or HFC?

Just picked up the Ark Grip, looking for a deep, not too raspy tone. I was thinking about ART pipes or Ark HFC but I can’t find clips on YouTube

Default Ark Grip exhaust, test pipes or HFC?

Just picked up the Ark Grip, looking for a deep, not too raspy tone. I was thinking about ART pipes or Ark HFC but I can’t find clips on YouTube for either (aside from one Grip/Art video but the sound of the video is kind of muffled).

Finding another Z owner with this exhaust combo and hearing it in person and going for a ride with them or hearing exhaust clips would be your very best option before you choose your exhaust. It’s your Z and you have to live with the way it sounds. You may decide to choose a completely different exhaust?

I would go with HFC’s. But there is no way to know how it will sound unless you hear it in person. YouTube videos tell you nothing.

I don’t know anyone with a Z. So that really isn’t an option.

I’ve read that the berk hfc sound really good and also read they sound really bad. I’ve heard nothing but great things about the ART pipes but also dealing with emissions testing.

You will only be able to pass emissions with hfc’s or the Genuine Nissan cats without having to change them out. At one time I had the AAM Competition hfc’s and they sound good in my opinion. Start up sounds good and tone is nice they are not as loud as the Art’s pipes would be though.

A good quality video from ARK Performance showing the differences between their HFC with and without their exhaust.
