Default Remark Exhaust

Hey all!

For those of you that own or have owned Remark's systems, how is the V1 axelback? I've read that it's quite loud and has drone to it according to some forum discussions. I currently have their V2 axelback with the midpipe and I'm curious on how much of a sound increase it is compared to the V1. Of course I can tell right off the bat that the V1 is louder from watching videos, but I'd like to know from people that have experience with it. Thank you.

I had the V1 and I can confirm that it is obnoxiously loud, in my opinion. Some people will disagree but any axle back with a high level of ear splitting drone causing resonance and buzzing in the cabin, is unacceptable for me. I kept it on the car for about an hour before I removed it. I did manage to sell it a couple of days later. But, keep in mind that sound is subjective. This is just my personal opinion.

Let me know if you want more info.

PS: The fact that a V2 was released probably says it all?.
Zingston and Blizzak like this.

I have V1 and like it a lot. It's not too loud for me (and I'm old ;-). There is drone around 3800rpm. For me this isn't a big deal as it's almost a shift indicator when cruising and only last a second or so under hard acceleration. For me the sound (minus the drone) is perfect and the drone can be managed. You'll have drone with any exhaust, it's just what's acceptable to you.

I never realized that's probably why they made a V2, good point. The V2 cabin noise is pretty much a tad louder than stock but barely even noticeable. Been debating if I want to try out the V1 but I'm just worried about the resonance and such. How was the V1 sound to you from outside of the car?

I guess I just gotta figure out my sound tolerance when it comes to drone! Haha I've been debating if I want to get the V1 because I want to be a bit more louder but I'm just worried about the drone. The V2 at highway speeds is pretty much similar to stock, probably a tad louder. Thank you for the info as well, we shall see!

I found it very loud outside the car also and not in a good way. It just sounded like any other short tail or muffler delete axleback. Nothing special. But I can tell you that the resonance inside the cabin was shaking my interior apart. Everything buzzed at any RPM above 4K. For a car that is designed to make the bulk of its power at high rpms, this was unacceptable to me.
