Anyone running these since they have been updated for better fitment? What's your overall review of the setup? Please upload sound clips if possible it would be greatly appreciated.

Those are the older version of the short tails. I watched brosfourspeed videos like 1000 times and they sound good. Just wanting to know if anyone has AAM’s latest version and how the fitment and sound is.

I have installed five AAM Competition short tail exhausts resonated and non resonated. The fitment was always spot on perfect. The exhaust note sounds great if you are looking for something loud! The weight reduction is nice and you do get a sound improvement. Performance is slightly improved coming from the Genuine Nissan OEM muffler. I think AAM Competition makes to best quality short tail exhaust axle back for our cars. Check out YouTube for some sound clips. Best is to hear this exhaust in person on someone’s Z!

I just received my resonated short tails from AAM a couple of days ago. Let me say the quality of the work is very high. The welds are beautiful and the materials are robust. Even the packaging it came in was literally perfect.
I’ll be installing after Labor Day (if I can hold out) and will post an update in this thread. If there’s interest, I’ll also post a video of what the August 2020 version from AAM sounds like on a 2019 Nismo. |

I ended up buying them and had them installed 2 weeks ago. They sound amazing but have a drone at about 2800-3200 RPMs, but I don't really sit in that range very much. The drone is pretty bearable if you don't have a headache. I don't have a proper exhaust video, yet. Only a cold start and idle. Listen with headphones or a bassy speaker if you can.
