Default Thoughts on this AAM S-Line Midpipe

This is my first post to the forum so I apologise if this isn't the correct way to post on here. However, I was wanting to see if anyone is running AAM's S-Line Midpipe with their nonresonated Short tails and could let me know how bad the rasp is if there is any. I'm looking to buy a used Midpipe and pair it with my short tails from someone who lives close to me for $650 and want to make sure that I won't be dealing with terrible rasp. I'll attach video clips sent from the guy I'm buying it from also, I just can't really tell over video if the rasp is bad since I don't really know what I'm listening for since I'm fairly new to aftermarket modifications. Thanks for read and hope to hear back from someone soon!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=https://youtu.be/gNV7rIUlcmU

For what he wants you can dang near buy a used Fast Intentions exhaust. I would wait until you had a better idea of what you wanted first.

It's fine as long as you don't take your cats off. If you remove the cats, it's absolutely terrible.

I ran the mid-pipe with resonated short tails for 6 months. Can't speak to the volume with stock cats, but with HFCs the drone was too much for me for more than a 30-minute drive.

OP, sound is all subjective so you will get some people with sensitive ears and some that are deaf. What I can tell you is that with the stock cats the rasp will be minimal. If you ever want to swap your cats I would go with Motordyne Art pipes. They do extremely well at controlling rasp, but you will get some drone on the highway (as with any straight pipe). I currently run Motordyne Art Pipes, AAM Midpipe and AAM resonated short tails and the sound is amazing.

So after contemplating whether I should purchase the midpipe or not I decided to give it a try. After installing it and driving around with it I do not regret making the purchase, the sound was just what I was looking for. One thing I will say about it is the I wish it sounded just a little deeper. I'm looking into possibly getting HFCs down the road from Z1 since where I live you need to pass emissions but I'm kind of hesitant because I don't know if it'll increase the rasp. https://youtu.be/iN1dbfPLV44

Thumbs up

The exhaust subject here on this forum is very subjective as everyone seems to like something different as far as exhaust go’s. I have had the AAM S-Line Mid Pipe before it has excellent fitment, stainless steel construction is top notch quality and never rusted, and I do agree that it sounds great! In my experience though you will see the best fitment results when pairing AAM exhausts components together but,are compatible with other brand exhausts.
