Default Tomei Issues

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I have a question on the Tomei Expreme Ti.. is there any way possible to raise the piping any higher? I’m sure there’s a thread about this already but wondering if anyone else in recent time has developed a new method on how to correct it. It’s been scraped a few times .. sucks because I’m scared to even lower my car due to it hanging so low. I was thinking, if there is no way to correct it, is it okay to use header/exhaust wrap just on the portion that is closer to the ground as you see in the pics? Just so it can be saved from scraping. Also any idea what to use to clean it haha, I miss the shine!!!! By the way. how is the fitment if I replaced the z34 version for the z33 version of the Tomei?

Try loosening everything, rotating/pushing the pipes up, and tighten front to back while its pushed up. Thats what I did and it gained a decent bit of clearance. Can also grab a hose clamp and wrap it around the brace in the back of the car, and the exhaust.

Yeah I'll try that for sure. Should I wrap that little portion that hangs low? Also have you seen anyone use the z33 version of the Tomei used on the 370z?

It can definitely be rotated to sit higher. I rotated mine high enough for it to dent against the diff ear. And the z33 one is longer and will stick out further, and not necessarily line up with the hangers. That's how the z34 Tomei came about, people putting the z33 version on the z34. I was tucking tire with a tomei lowered on BC's and it scraped often, but never scraped through, titanium is tough.
