Hey friends,

Does the Evap Canister always cause a rattle with a Motordyne exhaust? If so what can be done to resolve this issue?

I've heard removing it or modifying it works. I m just not sure how people modified it. Any idea?

Thanks

Evap canister is near the rear of the car so I assume he means CBE.

OP - For most HKS style exhausts (motordyne, FI, etc) you have to remove or modify the heat shield covering the EVAP canister to keep it from contacting the exhaust. It's pretty obvious when you are down there installing the exhaust.

The reason I asked is when I installed my art pipes there's a bolt on the drivers side floor pan that has to be cut flush or the pipe hits it and you get crazy rattling. They actually show it in their instructions.
Jayhovah likes this.

Is there a way to just modify and avoid removing it?

I took a hack saw and cut it flush, took a couple of minutes.
EDIT: I was talking about the bolt, not the evap canister.

My Motordydne exhaust rattles insanely loud below 40 degrees. Been like that for 8 years now one day I will do something about it (no I won't).
