Default Cracked Berk HFC

As these posts usually start for me... I'm an idiot.

Pulling into a driveway a few weeks ago, I scrapped my exhaust. Shortly after I began showing a P2a03 code so I decided to check the usual suspects... MAF's good, post MAF tubes good, and next on the list was exhaust leaks. And boom, I see this

Is this crack something that an exhaust shop can take care of or am I looking at a new HFC or set of test pipes?

A good welder should be able to fix that. If it was me I would just take it off and TIG weld it up and see how long it lasts. Looks like it cracked at the weld so might have been a cold weld from the factory.
SouthArk370Z and TBatt like this.

I agree when you scrapped the bottom of your exhaust in your driveway you probably damaged the weld and you have a exhaust leak there. If you don't know a good welder or welding service I would be looking to replace it with a replacement. Be more careful and drive slower next time when you back out and in your driveway your 370z will thank you.

I would also look into a warranty claim as the weld is obviously bad. The pipe should have bent before breaking the weld. A good welder can fix this and would probably be less hassle.
