Default Test Pipe Install Problems

Started working on removing my cats and installing AAM test pipes this morning. Thankfully I was not cursed by the dreaded demon bolts. Passenger side cat came off with out any problems at all. On the drivers side however there is one bolt, right behind the steering coupler that I just can not get ahold of. I've been using 1/2 inch extensions, swivels, impact sockets and the biggest breaker bar you've ever seen. However, once I get the socket seated on the bolt, I can not get any extensions into it because of the steering coupler. From everything I've read this hasn't been an issue. If you've got any tips or advice to point me towards or how you did it I would greatly appreciate it.

Soak it in PB blaster and let that site for a few minutes. Could you get a picture of the said bolt?

My dad told me to try something called a wobble socket to help clear the steering shaft.

I used a short 6 point 1/2" 14mm socket (not a longer impact socket) then a 1/2" wobble joint, then 24" of 1/2" extensions to my breaker bar.

I routed it down just in front of the master cylinder / throttle body with the intake tubes removed.

I bought the socket from the local Autozone store, just for this job.

This erked me because I already have a million dollars in tools already!

No isssues for me.

Remove the intake and come at it from the engine bay with 30" worth of extensions and swivels.

Still good advice. And a shorter socket was what I needed to just clear the steering shaft. I think I needed to put the socket on first, then connect the extension to the socket.
