Default GTHaus full exhaust + Berk HFCs

Hey guys,

Me again with the GTHaus Exhaust.

Just got the berk HFC added on to the full GTHaus system on my 2015 Nismo Z.

I went through 3 phases of my vehicle's exhaust upgrade: GThaus Muffler add-on only, then Ypipe + Midpipe add-on, then the berk HFC add-on. Here is my impression summarized in each phase (berk HFC add-on is new).

GTHaus Muffler only: Sound changed, volume increased by a lot. Some burble and sounded really nice. No drone.

Muffler + Ypipe and Midpipe: Sound doubled. Sounded even better. Still comfortable driving noise. Perfect as is. No drone.

Berk HFC Add-On: Sound doubled again.... to the point of stupid loud.... No drone if throttle isnt pressed. A lot of rasp above 3k rpm. TBH... the vehicle is now difficult to drive without being abnoxious. Check engine light is now on, and the shop that installed it damaged the clutch line in the process of removing the demon bolts. Had to get the clutch line replaced.

My honest take may sound displeasing however, I am actually currently satisfied with the Berk add-on.... I do like that it is stupid loud but I am slightly concerned that I may get rid of it (ex: if I run into too much trouble with the police). The CEL hopefully will be removed with some modifications to the O2 sensors and an ECU reset.

Hope this helps anyone thinking about these upgrades!

Thanks for the update, stupid loud is to be expected I guess. But you can drive lightly and shift early in your day to day commuting if it's your dd but when you wanna be a hooligan shift past 4k and make a bunch of noise in your cool looking sports car you can. Best of both worlds lol.

Kaiszer_Sosay: I agree! Keeping it below 3krpm is key though because above 3k is stupid loud already lol.

So as an added update, my head unit is giving me diagnostic code P1168 through the Maestro system I have on my vehicle.

Most likely the shop also damaged my upstream O2 sensor.

The exhaust sounds great however, really disappointing with all the damage they have done to my vehicle.

I've got the Berk HFC and their CBE and to me, the sound is perfect. I actually get compliments on the sound from fellow enthusiasts.

I installed everything myself about 4 years ago, and I have never seen a CEL...

I love the sound when I get on it, and there is no drone on the highway. The only thing that is different is the HISS on deceleration. It's not bad, and actually sounds kind of exotic...
