Stupid Loud

Hello, I'm currently running berk non resonated test pipes and tomei full cat back exhaust. My question is will throwing on a set of z1 headers smooth out the sound or switchen to a set of resonated test pipes? If your running a similar set up and audio clips are appreciated.

The headers aren't going to quiet it down.. They may just make it even louder. You need to switch to some HFCs or RHFCs to make it quieter.

I'm not keen on running HFC's, vehicle will be track oriented yet streetable. I'm just trying to smooth out the tone as well as tame off throttle noise.

Some RTPs will smooth it out a little but wont help much with the volume. The tomei is just too damn loud.

Definitely get some resonators. They'll help under 3k.

PPE headers matched with the Tomei exhaust has been one of the loudest setups I have ever heard. If you want to tame it a little or even deepen the sound then your best bet would probably be the ART pipes. You could get away with a set of regular resonated test pipes as well, but it's not going to make a huge difference with the lower RPMs.

I'm not sure if this will work but you could buy some resonators from motordyne and see if you can install those on your exhaust

I'm looking at either aam rtp's or the art pipes at this point. Not sure about dropping $600 for the art pipes tho.

Go with AAM or Berk RTP's, and swap out the Tomei resonator with a Vibrant Performance Ultra Quiet 3" (#1142)

I suggest the art pipes as well,and the motordyne y with resonater. That's the set up I have with my Tomei. It screams when I get on it, and not too loud just cruising.
