Default Plastic melted on exhaust...

Last night I smelt something like burning plastic coming from somewhere near the vents of my car...Kinda freaked out but couldn't smell anything coming from the hood or exhaust. Googled it and nothing seemed right.

The only thing possible was for a plastic bag to be stuck under my car, which I thought was impossible lol...Decided to check anyway and low and behold a big sheet of plastic wrapper that's used for a case of pop was stuck under my car on my exhaust. I managed to rip and peel half of it off, but there is still quite a bit all melted and stuck...

I don't have any tools to lift my car either, how do I get all of it removed? :'(
It smells TERRIBLE! Halp!!

Take as much as you can out then drive it like you stole it and it will melt off and burnt. It'll take some time to go back to normal.

dont use a plastic putty knife...but you can just let the plastic warm up then scrap off as much as you can, the rest will have to burn off.

Turn on the car to let the exhaust pipes warm up a bit (not too much). Spray some easy off onto a shop rag and go to town. Anything left will burn off over time.

I noticed something similar on my FI exhaust the other day! Looks like it may have been a garbage bag or something. No idea how long it's been on there.

Whenever I see plastic bags or **** on the ground that I cannot avoid I always check the rear and side mirrors to see if it is still there and didn't get an unwelcome passenger

I once picked up one of these "passengers" in my old del sol and didn't see it come off the back... I stopped immediately to check - it was stuck covering like 70% of my radiator's access to fresh air.

Use some kind of solvent to get it off. Acetone dissolves some plastics... Brake cleaner might take it off as well.

I had a garbage bag melt to my exhaust. It stinks but it will burn off soon.
