Default Help ! I made my Z too loud !

So I had been running stock exhaust with AAM short tails for about a year and it's incredible. After watching youtube and reading here on the forums I decided to add AAM S line midpipe and FI non resonated test pipes. Those guys that said it was too loud were just being sissys, right ? Well holy sh*t ! I didn't know our cars were even capable of making that much noise ! My question is what can I do now to take it down a notch or 2. I would love something louder then the short tails, but quiter than my straight exhaust. Will adding 18" FI resonated mid pipe quiet it down ? What about the Top Speed axle back mufflers or FI SS mufflers ? I'm desperate.. thank you all !

A resonated axle back such as beluga or j2 will take care of the sound explosion your experiencing.

Replace the test pipes with high flow cats.

There is a Tanabe axleback for sale on the forums here. Same style correct ? Sound explosion is definitely the best way to describe it hahaha

Yeah, any resonated axle back will make a huge difference. Those look just like the beluga and J2s.

I'm running Beluga axle backs with HFCs on my 2010 Nismo and love the sound. My buddy is running test pipes, AAM H-pipe & midpipe with the J2 axle backs. He's just a tade louder than me due to the test pipes, but it sounds great. He was running short tails and it was way to loud IMO. The resonated axle backs fixed the sound explosion for sure.

Buy a fast intentions cat back. If you put a set of resonated test pipes on it will only cut down on the drone. Now high flow cats will decrease the noise some but if I were you I would buy a catback exhaust. You may also make more power that way.
