FI 18" Res w/ OEM Cats vs. FI 18" Res w/ Berk HFC

OKAY... 11 hours later, the OEM cats are off and the Berk HFCs are on (don't judge me)

When I first got my car, it didn't take too long for me to get bored with the stock exhaust, so I upgraded to Fast Intentions CBE. Fell in love instantly! The sound was great, I could control the drone and it felt more responsive.

The OEM cats were definitely holding some flow back and I didn't want the car to be insane loud so I sprung for some Berk HFC. Being an '09 from the north, I knew the bolts were going to be rough. Surprisingly, by myself with limited tools, nothing broke

After install, MUCH LOUDER and MORE RASP with the popular HISS after letting off the gas. I'm not a huge fan of the rasp and hiss but there's no way I'll be getting back under my car anytime soon

I thought the best note my car has ever made was with the FI 18" resonators and stock cats. It just doesn't get better than that combo. Some like their cars really loud though.

I would put the stock cats back on if I could. But with the amount of boost im making I would melt them into lava.

I had the exact setup you have, with the berk hfc's and all. I opted for the motordyne ART pipes as I needed test pipes and these are supposed to be the quietest of any resonated test pipe. They definitely are not louder than the berks. It was hard to compare since I put them on and then didn't drive my car for 2 months so kind of forgot how it sounded with the berks on there for a comparison.

This worries me as I've been thinking about HFC's. The sound of the car is way more important to me than the slight HP bump so if it's going to make it sound raspy, I'll just pass. I'm wondering if any other HFC's paired up to the F.I. CBE will have any rasp.

Since you already have 2 breather mods your 3rd will be like 3 more hp. In my opinion not worth the cost, headache of trying to get the demon bolts off, and the added volume/rasp/drone.

I don't think there are any HFC's that will be "quieter" than the Berks. I think the berks are 300cell which is usually the highest they make. Other than that you would be putting cats on that wouldn't flow any better than stock anyways.
