Default Stillen G3 intake and exhaust no low end power

2010 370z sports manual. Running a basic Stillen G3 intake and exhaust setup for the last 2 summers and so far I've enjoyed the sound, and the little bit of extra power. The one thing I hate is that complete lack of Low end power. If I'm anywhere between 1500 and 2000rpm and I drop the hammer, all I get is a loud growl, and the acceleration power of a golf cart. If I keep the gas pinned, it takes about 1.5 seconds until she goes flying. What is up with that? I only have about 20,000km on this setup. Is it a bad install? Should I get the air filter cones cleaned? They're K&N cones right? Any thoughts or is this completely normal with this setup.

Sounds about normal. Look up on here throttle lag. From what I have read it can be corrected with a tune.

The lag is normal, and could only be fixed with a tune via UpRev or using a Sprint Booster module.

What other mods do you have?

Most opt to also upgrade to a less restrictive aftermarket exhaust.

And a tuned.

The bottom end loss? is perfectly normal only to gain it at the top end or higher rmp.

Thats the trade off for going BIGGER!

Tune will take care of that for sure, I have a auto and if I jam it in the RPM range the car rips off!

I got an Ecutek tune back in 2013 when I was completely stock except for R2C intakes. Throttle response was dramatically improved
