Your O2 sensor is on the cat itself. Changing the cat-back exhaust is on the other side of it. You will be right next to the O2 sensor and you can change it out at that time. Your best bet is just to change it out though. I know they are a bit expensive, but it's better than having engine problems by not replacing it.
