Default Uprev GT MAFS and NA?

While doing a little research it appears that unless you are going forced induction that Uprev GT MAFs will add no benefit to a NA engine. Is this true even though I am upgrading my exhaust (FI CAI and HFC) and intake (JWT Pop Chargers), then having it tuned (Uprev)?
