SES P0100 MAF Sensor Problem
I've searched, found, and read several threads regarding SES issues, as well as threads dealing with MAF sensor issues, but did not find one that directly related to the code I'm getting, so I'm looking to the group for help.
A buddy and I pulled my plugs yesterday and gapped them, per my tuner's suggestion. We got everything buttoned up and the car runs fine (no rough idle, no detectable misfires, etc.), but I keep getting the SES light, which I've never had in the 7 months that I've owned my Z. Not even temporarily when I installed Z1 post-MAF tubes several months ago. We checked the code, which is P0100, and cleared it several times, but it returns upon start up - P0100 Nissan Mass Air Flow Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Error OBDII Engine Light Trouble Code | Engine-Codes.com So far, I've done the following:
When we pulled the upper plenum, we unhooked quite a few hoses and connectors, but we double-checked and everything was reconnected tightly. I'm stumped. Because this code is directly attributed to the MAF sensors, I presume that changing the gap on the plugs is not related to the issue. All that noted, if anyone has any thoughts, suggestions, and/or feedback, they will certainly be welcomed. Thanks! |

Hey my friend, i had code P0101, which is basically the same code you have. Here is the thread i started some time ago:
Z does not accelerate You can also search here in the forum by P0101 and you will find similar threads too. In summary, and in case you dont want to read up, took the car to the dealer, they cleaned the throttle bodies and 0 issues since then. CarlitosZ from the forum here also had the same issue and the dealer performed the same process and his Z is just fine too. Good luck!

Thanks, P!
I appreciate the link and the summary. I'm thankful that mine is running well and not experiencing any issues with drivability. I'll try cleaning the TBs and see if that clears things up. Again, thanks for posting! |
