Custom 370z Muffler Delete?

Hey guys I'm considering getting a custom muffler delete on my Z for now. If any one has done one before, how big should the pipe to get the best sound. Also how big should the exhaust tips be to maximize the sound/look!!!!

I had stock tips with same diameter as the rest of the exhuast.
Sounded amazing

Mmmmm I see the only thing is I rather buy new tips lol but does the size of the pipe make a difference in sound?
