Default Yet another G3 question OP could have looked up

I have read a lots thread about the benefit when you installed a stillen G3 cold air intake, it is not only just giving you the extra 17.5 horsepower and you will get better fuel somewhere around 10% that you usually cost for the fuel . It is really true ? I mean It doesn't make sense to me if you get more power and you should have worst gas mileage right ? It is just my personal views , I am pretty sure you guys know better than me , that is the reason why I am here.

Colder air means you need less air to make the same power, since it is more dense. I doubt you'll see fuel mileage gains, especially since you'll probably have a heavier foot afterwards

Increasing horsepower will always give you better gas mileage. An increase in power is an increase in motor efficiency. However, as mentioned, that increase in power often equates to a heavier right foot, which negates and can even decrease gas mileage.

Jar nailed it, it's not really the increase in power that helps with mileage, its giving the motor less restriction, which equates to more efficiency. Increased efficiency is what gives you better mileage.
