It really depends on how you drive. I highly recommend you upgrade it

You'll need a new clutch.

I don't know of any deals. Plan to spend between $1,100-1,700 for clutch/flywheel/CSC/CMC/fluid. If you go with a twin disc it'll be north of $2,500.
Z1/JWT are on the lower end ($1,100-$1,200) Southbend is in the middle ($1,400ish) and Specialty Z is closer to the top ($1,700ish). |

Basically, why increase all the power if all you are going to do is slip the clutch?
Do it right, upgrade the clutch before or during and get that power to the ground. I run the Specialty Z and it is breaking in to be a real smooth ride. Holds power like a boss and the clutch pressure is very close to stock. It IS super light, so don't expect it to be silent, but it is quieter than a local Z's southbend black edition, so I am happy. Holds my 13psi/630hp/590 ft lb with absolutely NO issues. Cannot say enough about it. |

I just installed the Southbend stage 3 daily driver complete kit from Z Speed Performance. I've only had it installed for a couple days but it feels solid. In fact it almost feels like oem. I haven't dyno'd my car yet but I estimate that I'm putting down about 500WHP

^ I am running the Southbend Stage 3, FW and ZSpeed CSC as well and it is awesome. I love it!
The thing is, if you have everything opened up, might as well get it done then and there. Would be quite the hassle and extra charge if you were on the dyno getting tuned and your clutch seized.

A great time to install a clutch is during a turbo kit installation. Having the trans out makes it far easier to install the manifolds and turbos. Depending on what kit you have, it could be required to remove the wastegate setup to get the transmission off... so its ideal to do both at once.
It is also inevitable that the stock CSC will fail, causing you to go in there even if the clutch itself didnt have a problem. |

It would be highly recommended to upgrade your clutch...sure your stock clutch MIGHT hold but eventually it will let up.
