Oil Cooler
It seems that everyone gets an oil cooler in support of FI, but would it still be beneficial to get one even if you're not going for any sort of boost?

Well to provide some input for you, the ideal oil temperature for making power is 220F. However even without boost when you are driving your 370z hard its not uncommon to see oil temperatures over that. Then you have to worry about the quality of the oil you are using. A ester based or mPAO oil is your only option if you intend on running that hot reliably.
There are a lot of good kits out there from GTM, Z1, and STILLEN so just browse around and see what you feel most comfortable running on your car! Thanks, Alex Goodwin AlexG@motionlabtuning.com |
