Default Reviews wanted - TT Kits and Cooling for track

SO,

I have a TT kit about to install... This car has been doing once a month track days along with some street time. Cooling is my concern. im already running a setrab 34row @ the grill, no fan, and im still pushing high temps at the track (na). Since the FMIC is going to take up the real estate upon, im considering replacing it with two 19row coolers at the fender liners (staged) and with thermostatically controlled pusher fans @ 200 degreesF. this will free up the rad and evacuate hot oil air straight out of the car.

Im also considering a vented hood to channel a bit more air and lower AITs

THAT SAID< It boils down to the nose of the car. its a"15 with DRLs that i dont mind looking at.

So - I may A: run it stock nose, will it get enough air on intake even with pusher oil fans evacuating air, B: buy second OEM used bumper with DRL holes no DRL and that should give me enough oil air for the track (and not stress cosmetic damage from the track) or C: run an aftermarket like stillen to solve cooling....

Im asking you folks how temps are on your different configurations to see where im at.... Id honestly prefer option B since its oem and i dont have fitment problems right off the bat,, a little extra air from the drl deletes... but if this is not enough, please , by all means, chime in. I also understand that I can add supplemental naca vents something im looking at now.

Air flow is what you need. Look at Hotrodz's car for insight. You will need the trackspec vents, 72 row oil cooler, and a different nose on the car. If you mount the oil coolers on the sides with fans you will push hot air into your intakes. Not a good idea on that. For a nose upgrade a Veil would be best or the older Nismo's.

Second that^^^. Hotrodz time attacks his TT Z and is still oem radiator. Gotta start hacking to get some air flow to keep the motor happy

If you are tracking TT Z you will be always chasing cooling. My experience is for tracks less than two miles long there generally is not long enough straight aways to allow for temps to recover efficiently regardless of cooling mods. That said I can generally make it within a couple of laps before ending a session during the heat of the day. That would be 90 to 110 here in southwest. I have a 72 row oil cooler and still on oem radiator. There are no real good aftermarket radiators other than Ron Davis racing radiators and it is an ac delete. I here Koyo makes a decent radiator and it is an ac as well. I have vents in my bumper and Trackspec vents in hood.

I know the '15 Nismo bumper is terrible for the track. Even the coolant will over heat on a long hot session not to mention the oil. FI will add a lot of heat to the system IMO nothing less then going with another bumper or cutting additional holes in it for more flow.

100% or a bottle mixed with just water?

I run mostly water wetter and straight water. I didn’t flush the block of what coolant remained when I swapped radiators. Figured whatever amount of coolant was left would serve as corrosion inhibitor.
