Default Huge boost after EBC install

I had a Greddy Profec EBC installed last week. Even with the EBC switched off, I hit 14.5psi, where as before the EBC install running stock wastegate pressure I would max boost pressure out to 8psi.

Anyone experienced this or know why after installing the EBC my minimum boost pressure @ WOT has had a major jump, even when the EBC is switched off or put into 0%?

Faulty install or fault EBC, solenoid etc?

Car has AAM TT system.

It kinda sounds like you may have the vacuum line on the upper port on one of your wastegates instead of the lower port could be a simple oversight ....I have the tial wastegates and there are several ports on the upper part and a upper side port can easily be mistaken for a lower port ...I did that myself ......late night car modding after few too many beers lol

Yes aam kits are internal.

I had the workshop double check the vac routing and they rekon everything is correct.

I have the Greddy Profec Oled. If you're seeing 14.5 with the EBC off and not wastegate , theres a problem with your plumbing. The Greddy is like Voodoo magic to set up and I wouldn't bother it if you haven't figured it out yet. Plumbing is a different story, scree that up and you will guaranteed pop your motor. It's a $15k exercise and you don't get a tee shirt.

Ok, the same workshop was about to pull the EBC off but decided to do some re-routing of the VAC lines instead.

And wadda ya know, the boost does not rise past 8.5 psi now with the EBC switched off.

No. But the same issue occured again only weeks after.

This time it was due to a vacuum line melting. They replaced it with a braided piece.

And now my issue is the EBC won't increase boost past 7,5 psi no matter what setting I use!?

Can you post a drawing of how you routed the EBC?

Sounds like some of the issues I've been having. How did they find the melted vacuum line? I think mine might be melted too.

May be related to your question James; I helped Madwi with his & silicone vacuum line goes from long nipple on left bank inlet pipe (just before throttle body) and around & over top of transmission into a “T”... where it splits into 2 equal length hoses & connects to 1 nipple on each of the 2 Tiel wastegates.
Hose has heat shielding slid over every inch.
The other silicone hose goes from the drilled & tapped port in front of intake to the blowoff valve on left front,,,just before intercooler.
Hope this helps some.
