Default GTM kit rebuild progress

Hi all,
I'm rebuilding the IC and CAC piping on my recently acquired Z - I've knocked out most of the comsmetic items and have a new 2015+ Nismo bumper that'll be mounted and painted in due time.

For now, I've just managed to get two vertical Treadstone IC's mounted - I'm recycling the existing GTM kit mounts (which are horribly rusty and will get blasted/painted before final assembly). I spaced these cores back about 1 1/8" to match up with where the original GTM hot side pipe on the lower-left side of the car will enter.

Next up:
-left side BOV and routing to 3" intake
-right hot side routing
-right cold side BOV + routing to intake
-right turbo intake + filter mount

So far it looks like I can get away with some creative coupler usage plus cutting on the set of pre-bent Al pipes (45/90/180 bends and straight pipes + couplers) for the most part. Anything that explicitly needs joining I'll either be trying my luck with a torch + alumiweld, or if things get serious I'll be going for a TIG weld.

Would love any feedback, if anyone has any!

I would have pushed the IC's together in the middle for cosmetic reason...no gap.

I'll agree on the costmetics, but this configuration puts them in almost exactly the same place as the original GTM giant single horizontal IC, and thereby lets me reuse the left hot side and intake pipes without any fab work or rerouting. The mounting tabs on the Treadstone cores also don't really allow for them to sit flush to each other, and I'm trying to keep my welds to a minimum as I'm still learning TIG.

Also I thought that this might be slightly better for some air to get back to the radiator...

If you start to get lazy, there is a guy in CA that still has access to a lot of GTM/Gamma TT parts. Might even be able to locate a piping kit w/ couplers on the cheap! Or update to the V3 manifolds.

I have been in touch with Jason, but after my last email detailing exactly which pipes I needed from him I didn't get a response and it's been over a month. His ballpark on pricing when we first spoke on the phone wasn't bad, but I wanted to get things moving and am up for the work!

My first-ever tig welds were not in any way pretty, but they certainly seem solid!

Next up, welding together a little tubing leak tester, and finalizing the other sides' piping!

Thanks! I did something *really* dumb last night...I was going over the welded vband flange on the top and forgot to take the gasket out. I don't think they're supposed to be cooked medium well...
