Hi all,
I'm rebuilding the IC and CAC piping on my recently acquired Z - I've knocked out most of the comsmetic items and have a new 2015+ Nismo bumper that'll be mounted and painted in due time. For now, I've just managed to get two vertical Treadstone IC's mounted - I'm recycling the existing GTM kit mounts (which are horribly rusty and will get blasted/painted before final assembly). I spaced these cores back about 1 1/8" to match up with where the original GTM hot side pipe on the lower-left side of the car will enter. ![]() Next up: -left side BOV and routing to 3" intake -right hot side routing -right cold side BOV + routing to intake -right turbo intake + filter mount So far it looks like I can get away with some creative coupler usage plus cutting on the set of pre-bent Al pipes (45/90/180 bends and straight pipes + couplers) for the most part. Anything that explicitly needs joining I'll either be trying my luck with a torch + alumiweld, or if things get serious I'll be going for a TIG weld. Would love any feedback, if anyone has any! |
