Default Going flex fuel what sensor are people using?

I have decided it's time to go flex fuel. I have a return fuel setup, ID 1000 injectors and TopgunZ's air to air kit with the Stillen SC. I understand I will need a E85 fuel sensor and was wondering what people are using and suggestions.

I will probably be having Sebastian do the tune again.

I bought the ECA-2 unit and sensor from eBay new for $260 and installed the sensor just after the fuel filter. Will be tuning for it shortly.

I used a standalone kit. No gauges, it outputs a 0-5v signal from the sensor. Only takes three wires to install. Power/Ground/input to ecu. I used it when i was testing flex fuel on my Z with ECUTek. No longer use it though (since I'm supercharged now, and almost out of fuel on pump gas).

Works good, except you have to purchase the bluetooth app for monitor your Flex content. If you'd like to purchase it, I'll give ya a deal on it. Already has the fittings in line to get installed.

innovate ecb-1
with ecutek, i spliced out the evap vent control (specifically that one to run the boost solenoid from the purge control) i had to have a section of my cjm fuel return cut out and fuel line quick connects added to hook up the ethanol sender.. it all works like gravy.

rember, if you splice out those 2 evap senders, you might want to cap off the plenum side of the evap ine and the canister side vent to air ( done in the engine bay) or, every time you fill the tank it will be a mission to start the car.

Seb will recommend and sells the eca-2. That's what I use.

+1 for ECB-1 you get a nice gauge with lots of good info for not much more money.

I still check in on what's going on almost daily.
I bought a C6 Corvette and have been upgrading it slowly working twords supercharging it in the next 12 months. Still love the 370Z and who knows I might own one again someday.

1 thing about the ECB-1 ( and quite a few sensors) they tend to under-report on ethanol. I recently learned this after getting into the e85 portion of the flex-fuel tuning...

Buy an e85 vial tester. Accurate enough to show a discrepancy.

I vialed my tank fuel at about 82-83% ethanol, but the gauge showed 76.9%

I tried to change the values, but only succeeded in doing so on the PC interface ( not the gauge) on logworks 3 software provided from innovate.

If you are log tuning from e85 pump fuel, try and vial what going in, or more importantly, vial a sample from the tank. If the gauge under reports, you can at least gauge the under-reported values to estimate your current tank.

I did email innovate on this topic, and am waiting to hear back from them...

At the very least, lower is better than higher.
