which Wideband gauge and how many miles?
I'm looking into buying a new wideband for my car. Me current one might be acting up and I'm not sure if it is or not. It's not worth it to drive around without one. My current Innovative uses the old Bosch 4.2 o2 sensor. I read that the new 4.9 sensor is a lot better.
I have the Innovative mtx-l with 4.2 o2 sensor and around 16k miles on it. Anyhoo, what wideband gauge are you boosted guys using and how many miles do you have on it? YzGyz |

Not boosted, but I have the AEM Failsafe (does boost/wideband) and uses the Bosch 4.9. Not many miles but seems pretty accurate so far and have had positive experiences using AEM AFR gauges in my past boosted vehicles (R32 Skyline GTS-t, MK3 Supra & S14 Silvia). If you're not an AEM fan, I know that Tanabe uses the 4.9 with their Revel VLS wideband.

Innovate wideband sensor needs to be periodically calibrated. I would do a free air calibration before you go any further. I did that to mine and it went back to normal.

I have already recalibrated it in open air and it still showed high AFR. I figured it was busted so I bought a new o2 and recalibrated it and it too show high afr.

Make sure the downpipe is sealed well to the turbine housing with high temp RTV. A small air leak can show high A/F readings at idle. At full load, it would dissappear because there is pressure built up, and outside air would not get in to mess with the readings.

Dam it Shasha!! Why must you always be right!! It was leaking where the exhaust pipe mates to the turbo v-band. $8 later and some high temp rtv did the trick. Now my AFR guage reads 14-15 at idle.
Dang you sexy sexy man!! YzGyz |
