GTR Exhaust manifold
I was just reading a little about the VR38DETT and found that the exhaust manifold w/ the turbos look awfully similar to our twin turbo setups from some vendors.
It also looks like the bolting is very similar and not sure if anybody has tried it in the 370Z or 350Z and whenever it was mentioned before, people just call it stupid. I'm just looking for an education answer why it can't be used. I'm just collecting ideas for my own TT build and would love to save a little here and there. Everything just looks like it's exactly the same on the Z and GTR motors. Here's an example of a 350Z turbo manifold, which, correct me if I am wrong, but it would bolt up to the 370Z with no modifications. 350Z's turbo manifold GTR's Looking at the VQ37VHR from a similar angle: Even if there's a slight different in flanges, i'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to cut the GTR one and rotate it/ put in VQ flanges By no means i'm looking to get a 1k turbo kit, just trying to do everything myself with low power goals. In our cars there isn't much room for the turbos. I would guess that even if they bolted up you wouldn't be able to bolt turbos to the flange. This is just my guess.

After researching some more, it looks like it could be possible but might have issues with the motor mounts or brackets not clearing the turbos.
Some pictures for reference: looks like the brackets mount exactly at the same location in the block, but the motor mount it self is moved away so the brackets are angled. (First 2 are GTR pictures) Looks like i'm going with GTM manifolds instead |

I'm not boosted, but I know Fast Intensions makes some really nice looking manifolds.

HK Power in Germany do exactly what you are enquiring about.
They use GTR Cast Manifolds & Turbos with their own adaptor plate. HK-Power :: Nissan 370Z Bi-Turbo Kit (GTR-Edition) Hope this helps.

This could get really interesting if someone wants to make a kit that is just adapter plates, o2 housings, intercooler & piping, and oil/water lines leaving the customer to source their own manifolds, turbos, fuel system, and tuning. For those of us who hunt deals on used parts, you could go TT for crazy cheap.

You can already buy manifolds made for the Z for like $1200 and put any T25 based turbos (SR20 turbos, 300ZX turbos, etc etc). Budget turbo kits for DIY fabricators has been an option the whole time.
