Fuel Injector Comp
Bosch EV14 1000cc vs ID1000 vs Deatschwerks 1000cc
Any significant difference to justify the extra couple hundred bucks for ID? Bosch and DW are very closely comparable in price. I won't even be close to maxing out the duty cycle so that isn't a consideration in this case. All purported to be 1-2% flow matched. Will be mated with Walbro 485 pump and CJM return system, if that makes a difference. Stillen SC A/A or Treadstone 101 A/W with relocated MAF to TB - but that argument is for a different thread. Full disclosure: I'm probably ok with 750cc but since I'm buying them better to futureproof to a degree instead of having to upgrade down the road. It does beg the question though is there such a thing as too much injector, with/without return line. NOT running e85, but will have a 103/109 race gas map (though I realize that doesn't require a larger injector by itself). Last edited by ChaseZ; 12-07-2016 at 03:56 PM. |

I dont know anything about those - but I would imagine they all perform the same.
Do they all need wiring adapters? My 600cc Denso's plugged right into the OEM harness. That might be something to think about... Im sure others have more experienced opinions to share!

Hopefully I'll be able to answer that one day; but best left to the Pro's.

i almost over prepared!!
i am only using 660cc bosch that i got for $295 dollars. I got lucky and Sebastian informed me yesterday i do not need a return fuel system.(He complimented me on my fuel pump moding skills) I started looking at down the road and realize that it was getting out of hand so once again Sebastian set me straight.
i guess i need to check and see how much of the injectors i am actually using.

Also suggest that you increase the size of the fuel feed line too. The stock feed line is too small to supply high fuel pressures at peak demand and could cause a lean out condition @ high RPM.

Return plumbing is also through a 6AN bulkhead, then a 3/8" PTFE hose, and into our billet regulator delete fitting assembly. The supplied QD/6AN adapter can be used to connect either bulkhead to the stock fuel feed line. We suggest using the stock feed line as the return, and running a larger feed line with external filter underneath the vehicle. Makes sense to me. |

I've seen the size of that supply line and it's barely 1/4"
It designed to provide more back pressure for the fuel pump so it can maintain fuel pressure which provides a siphon effect for the drivers side fuel tank. It's not a high volume supply system and unfortunately requires back pressure to even work properly I played with the fuel pump one day and discovered a few things that to this day, still freak me out a bit. That's some of a few reasons that I recommend upgrading the entire fuel supply system when boosting the VHR. I've seen things that are not pretty lol
