supercharged plus juice

Just want to hear everyone thoughts on going supercharged plus nitrous? I would love to have a 450whp car that is super daily driver and have the reserve of nitrous.

I'll start by say I dont have any direct experience with your question. With that being said the stillen supercharger kit is known to be tempramental when someone tries to push the amount of power produced by the unit. I don't really know of any other, currently reputable, supercharger setups for our cars. Now as far as nitrous, from what I've read our cars do not seem to respond well to N2O. I'm not saying you'll blow your motor but I've read of a few blown VQ that had a shot of nitrous. So to sum up you want to combine both temperamental setups and your curious what would happen. I would advise against it I thinkthere is a reason you've never seen anyone do this before. Also if your going to spend the money on a supercharger kit and a nitrous setup why not just buy a boosted performance turbo kit. It would cost around $7500 and easily hit your power goals. Also there are many members who are reliably running this very setup. Best of luck with your build and if you do go down this path please start a detailed build thread. I'd love to see this work out.

Our cars respond great to nitrous, I'm not sure where Mysilverz is getting that info.

Most people that have ran into issues have had bad tunes from what I've seen on the forum. There are a lot better kits to choose from than Stillen IMHO.

I'm planning on running with nitrous and a turbo. The nitrous will be necked down to a 25hp shot to cool the intake charge. Do I need this? No. I already have the nitrous kit which is why I'm doing it. I wouldn't advise you to run out and buy two types of forced induction.

If you're going to use it just to cool the intake charge, why not get an intercooler spray kit that runs off of carbon dioxide? Comes out a good bit cheaper...

I'd be missing out on 25 hp, son.

thanks for the response guys, I still am unsure on this. part of me wants to do an all out build, looking at taking the car to aam and going twin turbo and their true dual 3 inch exhaust, yet I am not sure I want another build like that. I have a ms6 that is all out, full mounts, loud *** drone, big turbo. the reason I was looking stillen s/c was to keep the car semi peacefull yet still keep up with the v8 cars. not totally sold on nitrous but I cant see why a small wet shot would hurt anything.

Spraying onto the intercooler won't work, the return is minimal

I sprayed on my Skyline to get it to spool up a bit better , I was running 1.2 bar , a 25hp nitrous jet gave a 50hp increase and a 50hp jet gave 75hp

I firmly believe that the nitrous helped me to keep my motor together as the temps dropped significantly and I could jet the nitrous a little rich to cool the Pistons

The iat plummet with the nitrous on I can see no reason why it shouldn't make a significant impact on a charged engine , looking at the plenum design of the Stillen kit it appears to lend itself quite nicely to the idea .

Just but a quality kit , not cheap rubbish
