Howdy, I'm fiddling with my Turbosmart Street EBC and it state to set the, "Over Boost" 3lbs-4lbs over your max boost psi. In my case, that is 12lbs or so.

Howdy, I'm fiddling with my Turbosmart Street EBC and it state to set the, "Over Boost" 3lbs-4lbs over your max boost psi. In my case, that is 12lbs or so. According to the manuel, that is 14 psi. The EBC will cut boost in 1/2 (7.5lbs) if it ever spikes to 15lbs of boost as a safety. After it reads a 7.5 lbs of boost, it will resume all function like normal.
What would happen if you happen to spike to a boost level higher than what you have you car tuned to for a very short time? Or should I ask what are the chances of something going wrong if I happen to hit this safety of 15 psi. Additional info: -BP turbo kit -tuned in cooler weather like 65* with some humidity -506hp/435tq at around 12 psi -stock engine YzGyz |
