AAM Competition TT Build

Finally pulled the trigger on a TT kit from AAM Competition! It should be shipping this week. I ended up getting the full kit with a 340 lph fuel pump

Default AAM Competition TT Build

Finally pulled the trigger on a TT kit from AAM Competition! It should be shipping this week. I ended up getting the full kit with a 340 lph fuel pump as well as a fuel return system. Is anyone else using this kit on stock internals?

A lot of folks are using it on stock internals. You picked a good one! Who are you planning on taking it for a tune?

The Pres of my car club is an Uprev Master Tuner and can't wait to get his hands on it once I get the base map. I've read mixed reviews about the stock clutch, some people have no problems and others have it crap out on the dyno lol. I'm planning to ride it until it breaks on me.

Are you planning on installing it yourself? And if you get a new clutch will you install that yourself? The reason I ask is because you will save yourself a few hundred dollars by changing your clutch with the install of the turbo kit if you're having a shop do it.

No, not installing myself. We have a shop that lets us use their space for club builds on the weekends and 2 Nissan mechanics that are going to knock it out later in February. I know it would save $ on labor to do it now, but I'd like to avoid the expense if possible.

Well, you got a good kit. One that makes power. Consider that clutch money already spent. You will be mad when it burn up on the dyno or street and your waiting for it to get fixed. I know what you mean about not spending when you don't have to though.

It will definitely be more expensive to NOT replace your clutch while installing the kit. My Southbend Stage 3 Endurance clutch started slipping after 1500 miles at 560whp, I can't imagine how fast a stock clutch will start slipping.

This ^^ Would call the kits different though, not that one is more special than the other.
