Default Who has the highest mileage on a TT car.

I was wondering who has the highest mileage on a TT kit with the engine that was in the car when it was first completed. Who's kit is it and list anything that has broken. Ex. fuel pump, clutch, etc.

Yeah I'd agree. Something like 60k+ miles trying to break the motor and no dice. The only thing that let go was the clutch and that was 650+whp runs at the drag strip.

Just shy of 24k miles, 20k boosted. I'm nowhere near the record holder.

It's got about 62,000 miles on it. Unfortunately I can no longer recall the mileage when I put on the turbos and a while back I searched through old posts of mine to see if I could find where I mentioned it precisely and I came up dry. I beileve it was somewhere between 18 and 25k when I put the turbos on. The evidence is on here somewhere.

It was greddy with a prototype fuel system now sold as the CJM s1, and an Aeromotive pump for most of the time until the tail end when I went larger on the fuel system and pump to make the 671rwhp. Car has been on jack stands for product development since the clutch failed. There is more to come for the original engine still, just haven't had as much time for the car as I had hoped this season.

Oh and to answer your question the only trouble the car ever gave me was the rear diff mount broke after a couple years. Had I used the car at the strip more often it probably would have broken much sooner and I would recommend anyone upgrade the rear diff mounts right off the start. Had I left the stock slave cylinder in I'm sure it would have failed too, but I upgraded that right away.

Hey Phunk,

Out of curiosity - what kind of vaccum do you get at idle? They say a healthy engine usually has higher numbers. Congrats on having the longest boosted 370z and maybe the fastest as well!

My apologies to the OP - don't mean to thread jack.

I'm at 67k miles, and I've had the kit installed at 22k miles.

I probably should check out my rear diff mounts while my car is down now that you mention it.
My clutch/CSC lasted until 80k miles stock with boost from 19k (only a SC though), but I did not hit the drag strip like you.

Knowing these items I think they should be included in the "required" list of upgrades when going boost: Rear diff mounts (clutch/CSC was already on the list).

I cannot currently recall and my 370z has been on jackstands since my clutch toasted at the track. I should have it back on the road in the next 2 weeks or so and the same engine is still in there so I can report back. I want to say 19-20 inches or so, but it could be less.

I am actually putting the stock headers on and will be putting it on the dyno to see what it makes NA and do some checks on the motor to make sure its good to go for the next round of severe abuse it will see before I swap in the built motor.

You might have me on mileage! If I hadnt let my 370z take its first and very long break since last season I would probably be right with you around 67K, but my Z has been getting its beauty rest while I beat on my Mustang lately.

The rear mount I dont recall really getting any warning or indication until it was broken, and then it was pretty obvious with all the clunking around. Also, the silicon (or whatever it is) fluid leaks down the back of your diff cover. At first I thought I cracked the cover at the mount locations because at the time I didnt even know it was a liquid filled mount.

It's not my daily anymore after picking up a '99 Accord LX sedan a couple of years ago. VTEC baby!

It's still down until get around to ordering the new upper intake manifold and gaskets, and I'm currently running wires for the oil cooler fan. Hopefully get it all done by the end of the month.
