Default Stillen SC with Frozenboost: how to make it fit?

Hey guys - I'm new to the forum and live in the UK — hello!

I have the Stillen SC kit pushing out 488 bhp, 360lb/ft but I was seeing some light pinking at low load. I've bought the Frozenboost air to water heat exchanger to swap out the tiny Stillen one, but it is huge!

Does anyone have experience or info on how to make the Frozenboost cooler actually fit? I can't find a guide or notes on a build thread.

Any help greatly appreciated.

I would check out this thread: 370z AT With Stillen S/C And The Upgrades

The later posts (15 & higher) they start to talk about fitting the frozenboost cooler and things required, such as flipping the crash bar I believe.

Thumbs up

Hey dajw

I have this "Thing" too!
And I Love it

Here are a few pictures of the installation!

First STILLEN Supercharger 370Z swiss

You have to edit something in order to create more space in the front bumper air intake with a Dremel. But is not a problem!

I wish you much success!

Default Stillen SC with Frozenboost: how to make it fit?

Thanks Ivo! I'll take a look. My installer said so far that the options are to cut the crash bar, which sounds unsafe to me!

Where in Switzerland are you based? There's a few of us in the UK with the Stillen SC car now. Perhaps a drive into the mountains might be in order?

My car is documented over at http://370zgt.tumblr.com/ and I'm usually on a UK forum called 350z-UK

I've been looking at this forum with interest - there's so much helpful stuff on here!

Hey mate,

easiest way is to turn the crash bar upside down. only prob is you won't be able to use the tow hook, but still able to leave the crash bar on this way, I've cut away a little bit of the bottom but left most of the structure in place. Check my album for some pics of what I mean. I used the supports from the crash bar to make some brackets up to mount it.

depending where you want it to fit, you can do lots of things, some people cut the crash bar, some people mount it in front/behind etc.. all depends where you want it to sit.

be advised you will have to cut away the rear of the front bar to make it fit also, I had to take mine off like 3-4 times to cut enough away.
