Installed my new shift knob!
Decided to get off my lazy butt and put this thing in. Reading it seems to be a huge pain from all the threads on this forum and others. Mine was not so bad.
I wrapped some duct tape about my OEM shift knob. I would suggest that, as its rather soft material. Also try not to apply to much BFFI as you will ruin it. If you dont care then have at it! All I required was a couple of tools. Once you break the loctite on it its pretty simple. Got this knob off Amazon for about 50 included some pics of one of why it can be hard to remove. All depends how much loctite the fools squirt on. I found a site that sells the boot covers for not to bad so will install that once it arrives. I supposed you could use some sort of washer but wanted one to match the interior. |
