Default Persimmon/orange leather seats & Jeans Dye

Question for those of you who have the Persimmon leather seats.

Does the center suede part get stain/dye easily from dark jeans?

How do you remove the stain/dye? I read that most people just clean it with damp cloth with water which I used, but only rub it slightly as I am afraid I might wear it out.

Thanks.

I have that color interior and I've had Jean stains on the leather (or is it really plastic) parts of the seat but not the fake suede section. I just used leatherique on the smooth parts to clean it off.

I can clean the leather portion with common leather cleaner easily. I am more concern with the suede-like middle section. It will be difficult to remove any stains as it seems quite delicate or damage/wear out easily. I wipe it with a damp cloth periodically to keep it as clean as possible.

Default I had....

I had concerns about cleaning and protecting the 'suede' portion of the seating in my Z when I first bought it. I'm not looking forward to the day I have to deal with it.
My limited research showed people using Woolite as a cleaner for this. You can do a search on this site. It's there with before and after pics.
As far a blue jean dye, I have no experience whether Woolite will work for that, but you might try. My kid used to work for Toyota/Lexus for years and said they had CONSTANT issues with owners bringing in cars that had light coloured leather interiors with blue jean stains. I don't know what they did.

I have done some reading about the cleaning the 'suede like' section as well. I recalled reading about using Woolite and came across posts that stated it might damage it in the long run.

Leather is much more manageable. The worst scenario is to re-dye it which my friend did on his Lexus with white leather. It looks new afterward.

I have frost interior and I get stains from dark jeans. I brush the alcantara and then use tuff stuff, microfiber and a clean water bucket to get it out.

do you spray the Tuff cleaner directly onto the suede and rub it with the microfiber cloth?

Did the stain come off completely? Any sign of wear on the suede afterward?

Thx.

Tuff Stuff Cleaner, 22 oz - Walmart.com

I sprayed onto a damp microfiber and used that to massage the "suede", repeating a few times and dunking it into a clean water bucket to rid of dirt, then come in w/ a clean damp microfiber to wipe, then use a dry microfiber to pat it dry.

Did you notice any kind of wear on the suede part after cleaning?

I used plain water and rub it very lightly and the surface of the suede seems to want to come off when wet.

As long as you use a microfiber to rub it, I think you'll be fine. I did use a terry cloth towel on my armrest and noticed that it would wear. Since switching to microfiber, I have not seen any wearing.

edit: you could also use a brush to work in the solution, then wipe w/ a clean microfiber.

Yeah.. the armrest material is kinda soft and wear easily, much worse than the seat.

Thanks for the tips.
