What do you guys do to protect the gas pedal area against salt in the winter besides installing weather tech digifit mats.The salt always goes around the mat no matter

protecting gas pedal area during winter question
What do you guys do to protect the gas pedal area against salt in the winter besides installing weather tech digifit mats.The salt always goes around the mat no matter what and gets in the surrounding area and crust the carpet, Any safe ideas I could use please this winter, Thanks !

on my dd, i use hard black felt i cut to size and duct tape to the floor under the winter floor mats. looks nice and easy to clean. just toss it out next year after making your template.
