That stupid plastic lock rivet in trunk query
I was checking my spare tire pressure and also installing some wheel lock nuts ( props to TreeSemdyZee he gave them to me ). The black foamy polystyrine on each side is held in place by one black plastic retainer. How the hell do these go back again, I tried pushing them in or screwing them in, they just pop back out.
Thanks. |

I know the link is for the fog light. There are plenty of pics and info on getting the interior pieces from the hatch in and out.
DIY: of complete FOG LAMP install

If you are talking about the plastic "pop-rivets" then you have probably broken one or more of the "fingers" and will need to replace the pop-rivet. You can find them at auto parts stores (I get them by the handful from my favorite body shop. Depending on what kind of mood they are in, I get them for $0.50-1.00 a piece).
If you are talking about something else, post a pic.

I don't remember using any of those but my guess is that yours is worn or broken. Assuming they are generic fasteners, as with the pop-rivets, they shouldn't cost more than a few bucks at any auto parts store. Check the FSM and/or Courtesy Parts for drawings, Nissan part number, &c.
