driver headlights not working
So my driver side headlight stopped working...I've checked the bulb and fuse, both seem to be working fine. Im thinking that it is the ballast that is not working. Is there any other thing that I might have over looked? And is it normal for the ballast to go out this early? I only have 41000km but it does have DRLs....so HIDs are always on.

Going by what I have read on this site, ballast failure is not that common but it does happen. I'd try swapping the ballasts and see if the problem moves to the right-hand side.

Ya that's what I'll probably end up having to do before I order a new ballast. Would u know if the ballast can be access by just removing the bumper or am I going to have to remove the headlights aswel? The stealership here wants like around $400 for one ballast...I just lmao

I haven't had to work on my headlights, so not familiar with where the ballasts are located. Download the FSM (see link in my sig) and it should have all you need to know.

So I finally had time to take everything apart...yes I did have to remove the headlights to get access to the ballast. So I did the switcharo thing with the ballast and yes the drivers ballast has failed...now before I go looking for an OEM ballast, is there a better alternative that I can use?
