Default immobilizer not working!?

My immobilizer's battery was dead so i went to the shops to change for a new one. After putting the new battery in, the immobilizer doesn't work anymore.

Is there an immobilizer reset or something? Nothing happens when i press lock or unlock. I have to use the key to lock it manually and put the immobilizer in the hole to be able to start the car.

You might have just replaced it with an expired New battery.

It happens since there is NO way really to test the shelf life before buying them.

Have you tried using another NEW battery or the spare remote?

I have tried changing the battery and the immobilizer is still not working?

Does anyone know why it does not work? Do i need to pair them up again through Nissan?

I replaced the battery in one of my fobs and didn't have to go through any reset procedure - just changed the battery and it worked.
Check and make sure the battery is installed correctly, positive-to-positive/negative-to-negative.
Look for any corrosion or other material on the contacts - gently clean with a rubber pencil eraser if needed. Clean the battery - buffing with some denim usually works or use the eraser.

did you do any audio work or work where you had to take the center column near the cupholder off? if so check to make sure the brain module inside the car is plugged in. if that is plugged in then try another battery. this happened to someone else on the forum and that was the culprit

No Key error

I haven't touched anything in the interior.

The story is that my immobilizer ran out of batteries. When i replaced the battery, it still doesn't work. Yet i still have no clue what is wrong.

I might have to take it to Nissan

Since you put the fob in the keygina on the left hand side of the console, the keygina is designed to power the fob in case of no power/bad battery. It has to be the battery or battery contacts.

Yeah there is a near field charging coil on the keyfob pcba. It wasn't exactly cheap to go to the trouble to make the fob wirelessly powered when battery went dead. Lots of NRE on that little bugger to make it so compact and separate the two frequencies, one for charging and one for transmission to allow starting. Really cool though.
