Aftermarket back to stock steering wheel
So I had an aftermarket wheel on and was about to put the oem one back on, and now none of the buttons are working. I left the clockspring in place and just unclipped the wire harnesses off of the oem wheel when I removed it. Any suggestions?

Yes, I don't have them clipped back in because I pretty much ruined the connectors.
Fyi the airbag light is always lit due to the aftermarket seats.

So you didnt plug the clockspring back in? That could be the problem if so. Im not sure about the Z but in other cars things like the horn, airbag and cruise control will not function if you have a broken clockspring. If you did plug it back in and it isnt broken then i dont really know what else could be wrong.

I didn't take the clockspring out, just dremeled out the hub to clear that black connector that sticks up. So all that got removed was the wheel and button assembly.

The steering wheel controls should work independent of the srs system status, correct?

Not to hijack your thread, but are you selling your hub and quick release? I'm in the market

hmm, not sure what the problem is. Is there a master fuse that controls the wheel controls?
