Default fog lights question

Are those come on only when it's really dark or foggy. I turn my lights on and the fog lights switch on during the day and the fog light are not on. I can see the indicator in the dash is illuminated but no fog lights. I tried in the auto mode, still not on. I was wondering If it's because it's not dark enough, please enlighten me. I read the book but they don't say much , I'm in the dark !!

Default There's no fog lights, duh !

Never mind, I thought the vertical lights were fog lights but they're daytime running lights, rookie mistake

Hey, Hey! I have yellow DRL on my car, down in the little faux vents. They look pretty good to me, I think they stand out more than brown 1/2 power high beam and they're different. I'm using these LEDs AMBER DIY 3W LED UNIVERSAL DRL AUXILIARY TURN SIGNAL LIGHT B/O - DRL Fog LED - Multi-Fit LED

No one (yet) has mocked them or laughed, so I'm cool. I originally had White version, but like the Amber (weren't available when I bought the White LED ones).
