Put it in the oven for a bit and it should loosen up.
Besides heating it like Super said, I cant think of a way to release it without adding a bit more torque to it when trying to unscrew it.

I will try to put it in the oven see if that helps but if not I may just have to ditch the STI lenses then wich would b very unfortunate
Also I wonder if I should try the drill instead of a screwdriver but that might just kill the srews Sent from my iPad using Tapatal Last edited by vrfreak; 02-28-2014 at 08:07 PM. |

Ok everyone I got all the screws out
Now I have another question wich I looked all over the place but I did not get a concrete answer anywhere regarding that black tab on the cutoff shield is it really needed to cut it off if so how much of it? Also the spacers should I use the metal ones or the paper ones? I read a lot of different stuff about it so now I am rather unsure what to do here since there is really no room for f*ck up's So if someone could help out I really appreciate it thanks |

when we did my lights with the STI lens, we did not use the spacers provided. Just simply swapped the lens.

Regarding the screws, they are indeed very tight. I've done many sets of 370Z headlights and have never failed to get them loose by using an electric impact driver. I've done it once or twice with a simple screwdriver by hand, but you have to hold the headlight very tight and use a perfect sized Philips head.
And for the sti-r clear lens, you have to use 2 paper spacers. Simply swapping in a lens will have a pretty blurry cutoff line. The metal spacer they provide doesn't work for the 370z, it's way too thick. I've tried many combinations before and 2 paper spacers seems to be the sweet spot. Best combination of sharpness and color. Keep in mind I don't mean actual paper like regular paper to write on, but the thicker paper ones TRS sells specifically for this purpose. If you search around the forum you'll find some pictures of the before and after pictures of the sti-r lens mod with spacers. Last edited by paperboy42190; 03-05-2014 at 04:48 AM. |
