DEFI Oil pressure gauge wiring...

Anyone know if I can just take the orange/red/white wires and wire them to the same 12v source from the cigarette lighter by the glove compartment? That light is basically

Anyone know if I can just take the orange/red/white wires and wire them to the same 12v source from the cigarette lighter by the glove compartment? That light is basically a 12v source that also turns on when the car is on.

I am not sure but some cig lighters still work with the car off. Give it a try and see

the cig lighter does not stay on after car is on. Feed the constant wire to battery. There is that rubber boot right around the battery.

Default

The constant 12v is mainly to maintain the gauge's memory of peak hold and what not when the car is off. So the choice is yours.
