Underbody plastic cover/shield replacement
I had bottomed out the car pretty bad and eventually the plastic cover under the car had to be taken off. Is this an easy fix if I just buy a new one? Also, am I fine to drive without it for the time being?

Buy the ZSpeed metal one. You want something under under there. It protects the bottom of the engine, and adds some support to the front bumper.

That's what I did. The finish holds up well to debris impacts. I also got the stainless hex head bolts for it so I don't eventually round off the OEM bolts taking the tray on and off.

if you are bottoming out and hitting the under engine splash shield, I dont think an aluminum one is a good idea. Best get a new plastic one. It's more forgiving to dents and scrapes.

Here's the OEM part:
Lower Engine Splash Shield Edit: It should be fairly easy to replace, but I've never done it. It's considered part of the cooling system and the aerodynamics - keep an eye on temps and watch for front-end "float" at high speeds.

Just buy the metal one. It's money well spent.

You can get the ZSpeed one Black Powder Coated, that's what I did. It's great!
