Default 12V ignition power source

Can someone please tell me what is the best ignition power supply to trigger my DRL Relayed wire harness that I'm making. I'd like to install the harness to power up my Angel Eyes/Halos, and would like to have them always on when the ignition is on / as a DRL. I'm planning on tapping into the a 12V ignition controlled signal under the hood in the fuse box. But I dont know which one is best to use. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!
Jay

Everything you need to know is in the FSM. Wire colors, fuse ratings, what's hot when, &c.

The relay trigger 12V input doesn't eat up that much power, but you should be able to use a similar IGN source as you would with your head unit. Your halos don't use much power either, so you should be able to tie into BATT. If you're unsure, just calculate the current required by the halos and relay input and make sure it doesn't exceed the fuse rating.

Thanks for the response guys.

I did actually vigorously search google and this forum and found no actual locations or specific how to's. I actually pulled out the main fuse/harness panel on the passenger side and found a thin green wire with a silver/gray tracer that got 12V when the ignition was on. I just "T" tapped into that one and it worked out perfect. I'll have some pictures of the set up real soon.

Thanks again to those who were actually trying to help and not being forum asshats. I'm sure they were only having fun though.

Here's a few pics. The first shows where I connected the ground. The second shows on the driver side with the fuse box lid popped open. The inverters I spliced together and added a male end to it so it could fit right in the slot. I just used a voltage reader to find a power source that only came on when the car comes on. Do you have the halos in your headlights already? Because you can wire them into the headlight itself, that way you don't have to run a mile of wire from the passenger headlight to the fuse box. I did ,because I didn't want to have an inverter go out and have to rip open the headlight. Hope that helps.
