Default upshift paddle shifter getting stuck

anyone else ever experienced this?? yesterday i thought it was just my mind playing games with me when the paddle shifter got stuck. but today it happened twice within 3 minutes.

the upshift paddle would basically not bounce back, but if i flick it again it would bounce back. hopefully its just a faulty spring that the dealer can replace easily.

my 2011 Z already hit 30500 miles. what would happen if it gets stuck again after it gets fixed and passes the warranty period?

Never had it happen to me, but then again my 2011 has 5,600 miles on it. Question do you have that cheap $2 mod? the one where you put the clear thing from 3M behind the paddle to shorten the pull?

Never happened to me and this is the first report of it that I've seen.

It may just be some dirt/trash in the mechanism.

But I may also suggest

It may just need some lub or grease

But you can either try to grease it yourself or have the dealer do it.
